The famous 37-year-old actress revealed yesterday that she had double mastectomy so as to prevent both a breast cancer and an ovarian one. Not only could her BRAC1 gene have increased the risk of cancer but it was also the illness which killed her own mother. That is why, she bravely decided in February to start a three-month medical procedure. She had to overcome many surgeries but fortunately her husband Brad Pitt was beside her and he now talks about her wife as a hero because she fighted against the disease for him and their 6 children of whom 3 have been adopted. Then she said: 'I decided not to keep my story private because there are many women who do not know that they might be living under the shadow of cancer', while telling her story. From now on, this woman must be considered as brave and very helpful, and we wish she would have a long and healthy life.
